| First CGC Class last night Jaeger had his first (of 3) CGC "class" last night-just the trainer, us, Jaeger, and the trainer's boxer. We worked on staying (he does it great at home inside, not so much in new environments,) being petted by a stranger (which he did pretty well) me greeting a stranger, and we sort of worked on greeting a friendly dog (which at this point was tying her well behaved dog to a fence and standing in the middle of a field lol.) We also briefly touched on supervised separation. We have been working with Jaeger since we got him, but Im no experienced puppy trainer, and boy, do we have our work cut out for us! Im really not expecting 3 classes over 6 weeks to be enough here. At one point she told us that we have a really intelligent dog, and sometimes the less intelligent dogs are easier to train lol. |

| Sounds intensive, but overall went well. Practice, practice, practice! Best of Luck!

| Thanks! I'm a little overwhelmed. Seems like a lot to work on over two weeks. |

| I am sure he will do great! Just more patience and practice. I love to see people getting their Yorkies trained and the CGC is an awesome accomplishment.

| Had our second class tonight. *I* was frazzled because of the week we had, but Jaeger did so well. Last class,, he had an absolute conniption when we brought a second dog out, this time, the trainer got within 2 feet of us without him moving a muscle. Still not sure he'll pass the CGC so soon, but we're getting much better, and it's great to have someone recognize that.
