The next YorkieTalk Gift Exchange, YT GE XIV, our fourteenth Gift Exchange, will take place in November 2008. Remember that the person you are giving a gift to MAY or MAY NOT be the same person you are receiving a gift from. You MAY or MAY NOT be paired with a Yorkie of the opposite sex. There is no official theme for this GE, though if you want to give your Secret Buddy winter-related items, that is fine.

Please note in order to participate:

- You must be a Donating Member of YorkieTalk.

- You must have 100 or more posts here at YorkieTalk (before you sign up in this thread).

- You must have joined YorkieTalk before September 1, 2008.

- Please do NOT send your Secret Buddy any USED toys or clothes. Re-gifting a new item you may have received is fine, but any USED items are not allowed.

Please make sure you have read the Gift Exchange Rules and Regulations thread as well as the Gift Exchange FAQ before you sign up!

Please do not sign up unless you are currently a Donating Member.

Please note that the spending minimum is $20 for your Gift Exchange gift (this does not include shipping), though if you choose to spend more on your Secret Buddy, you may. Please do not expect anything more.

Here is the Gift Exchange Rules and Regulations thread. Please read it again, as there have been some changes to the rules since the last Gift Exchange. We now require all participants to be Donating Members (members that have donated $25 or more). If you are ALREADY currently a Donating Member (your usertitle shows Donating Member), this does not apply to you. We must receive your donation before you may sign up for this Gift Exchange.

Please note that you MAY receive a secret buddy in Canada (if you are in the US), and you MAY receive a secret buddy in the US (if you are in Canada). Be prepared to pay a few dollars more in shipping costs if this is the case. If you receive a secret buddy in Europe or overseas, there will be extra shipping costs, thus you will be reimbursed roughly $19 for the extra shipping. We will reimburse you via Paypal or cashier's check after the recipient receives their gift. Also, to save on shipping costs, you may want to keep the package "lighter".

This thread is ONLY for signups. Do not post any questions or anything else besides sign up in this thread. Please PM us if you have any questions.

You must already have your Yorkie (if you are a new Yorkie parent) by October 1, 2008 to participate in this Gift Exchange.

The signup period will end October 31, 2008. You will receive your Secret Buddy information within THREE DAYS after the end of the signup period. If for some reason you sign up and can not participate in this Gift Exchange, you MUST notify us before the end of the signup period.

You may send gifts starting November 1, 2008. The deadline for sending out gifts will be November 29, 2008.

Yorkie's Favorite Toys, Snacks, Clothing style – Selah loves toys that squeak or crackle- anything that makes noise. She is a tough girl, but not really a big chewer. She loves to bury and burrow. She would love to try an interactive toy with little critters inside that she can pull out and make me put back in! Her favorite snacks are all of the soft variety- she won’t eat and biscuits. She will wear any type of clothing or bows. I tried to make her a dress once, but she made me promise not to make her wear it in public, so maybe if you find a nice dress, she would like that! Or, she could use a bathrobe for after her baths to keep her warm in the wintertime.

Yorkie's favorite colors – Selah loves to wear red, like any showy yorkie! But, we made her get a bed that matched our house, which is blue and green.

Yorkie's Favorite Toys, Snacks, Clothing style -Toys: Layla LOVES tiny toys that fit right in her mouth. She has very little interest in larger toys (i think they are too heavy for her) but she just loves those small $3 ones She also LOVES tiny balls.

Snacks: Layla is allergic to chicken, corn and wheat. She has been diagnosed with pancreatitis and is VERY limited in the treats she can have. She LOVES diggy snacks (which are nice and low in fat) and for the most part can only have treats that are fruit/veggie based as meat based treats are high in fat. She loves Cloud Star carrot/sweet potato/apple treats.

Clothing Style: We live in the north and thus Layla can always use sweaters, hoodies... pj's. Layla doesn't really wear t-shirts or dresses. She has many winter coats and won't wear shoes

Naboo's sole purpose in life is to play with Balls and Squeeky toys, balls with squeek are preferred. She loves any Squeeky toy that is red. She has this small cute red teddy bear squeeky toy that I bought in Ross a long time ago and can never find it again. She still has it even though it looks as if its been used and abused but its her treasure, we call it "Bear" and she always looks for it.

I just got her some Bully Sticks and she is in love! She hides it from Squeekie and Wookie even though they have their own. She also loves Chicken jerky and Dental Bones called Arm and Hammer White Bites. Momma loves to give her natural treats.

Naboo is a natural furbutt. She loves wearing T-shirts, Rainbow Bright is her current favorite. She loves any girly T-shirt that is soft and comfy. It would be super cool if she can get something personalized because she just hates sharing! Momma trys to braid her top knot and put cute bows but she won't have anything to do with it. With the help of her dada she gets her way but momma is determined for her to use bows. Naboo would also like to try any good conditioner that will help maintain her soft and silky coat and leaves her skin feeling clean and smooth. Momma also said that it would be super cool if she can get a new NapSak because she's always fighting with Squeekie for it.

All my Yorkies now are eating meat by product and grain free. Zukes treats is Chelsey’s favorite! Doesn’t like bows or anything in her hair. No greenies or rawhide.

Weight – 7 pounds "And growing.." ...
Length – "Neck to right before Tail" - 14 inches
Chest – 12 inches
Neck – 10 inches

He is a BIG (tiny) boy… LOL

Yorkie's Size of clothing (The common size you usually buy: XS, S, M, L) – Smalls, but with those tight fitting Tshirts I have found that Medium is best… He is not a peanut, but he isn't BIG either... sometimes I see Med that are just huge... so Toy Breed Med I should say would be best for Alfie.

Yorkie's Favorite Toys, Snacks, Clothing style – Alfie loves stuffed animals especially squeaky toys, rope toys are good too. He has a shoe fetish as well. Alfie does well with T-shirts and recently with his little PJs from Go Fetch.. (was a T3 but is growing... length wise )(The PJ's cover him very well and he loves them…) he wont wear any type of hat or thing near his head *shrugs* he is stubborn. He also will wears those little cute neck scarfs/wraps (he has a really cute Bow-Tie one already! Hehehe)

Yorkie's favorite colors – Alfie is a BOY… all out, Blue’s are best… green, yellow, orange… even a little red but we try to stay away from red as daddy hates that color (something to do with Alfie is an Evertonian – “Everton Football Club”... his daddy is English so Soccer stuff is cool too~!)

Anything extra I want my Gift Exchange Pal to know about my Yorkie (please mention anything your Yorkie doesn't like or doesn't want or can't eat) – Alfie is a very good eater… he even eats what he shouldn’t… he isn’t really into dry snacks for some reason, he loves those juicy little bits (chewy snacks) better than dry bones. Alfie is a real BOY so that is the hardest thing for us… we always seem to find tons of stuff for girl furbabies and not much for the boy furbabies. We will love anything and everything our buddy gives us as a gift…. Alfie loves prizes (he is some what spoiled, but that is my fault… he is my baby). Alfie will be getting a new baby sister (Furbaby) for Christmas.. so this GE will make him feel extra special as we will not be entering his baby sister until the following GE.
