Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | Jazzing up store bought costume? Hey guys! I hope you are having a great week. I have had so much going on in my personal life (possibly moving soon, a new reproductive endocrinologist to see, and a whole bunch of other mess) that I am afraid that I wasn't able to handmake Katie Scarlett's Halloween costume. I ordered it online. I also ordered a hat to go with it that was handmade by a crafter in Etsy. But I was wondering if any of you had ideas on jazzing up store bought costumes? I thought of adding some rhinestones or trim of my own to make it unique. I really want it to be big and bold because what she is going as is something that is bold and flashy. Lol. Any ideas? Thanks guys!

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | I can post it now. We are NOT using this head piece. I didn't care for it and I don't think KS would like her head covered like that. And the peacock face looks kind of mean to me. Lol We are only the body part of it and thats what I want to pwrsonalize for her. I bought a few things at Hobby Lobby today that I thought might jazz it up. Animal Planet Peacock Dog Costume - Dog Costumes

| How about rhinestones in the eye of each feather, fabric glue would work well. Or you could add some real peacock feathers to make it really stand out. |

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | Thanks for your help guys. With your input I bought a few things today. I got 2 shades of blue rhinestones and a peacock feather embellishment. I hope I can make it glam. I really appreciate your help!

| Amyee, I know it's not my business, but you mentioned a reproductive endocrinologist so I can only assume you and Brandon are attempting IVF. Please be careful with all the hormones and drugs required. I was a surrogate 2 times for other couples (a 3 yr old and 20 month old twins) and my oncologist firmly believes my breast cancer problems recently was because of all the medications and hormones from the IVF treatments. Not to mention, my hormone levels have still not evened out and I suffered major depression (I was having suicidal thoughts when pregnant with the twins and have had 2 attempts in the last year) so please, please, please research the heck out of the drugs and be very careful.
