| We're expecting... Well we went to the vet yesterday for our wellness exams and turns out that well our little one is going to be a mommy pretty soon. I figured she was just putting on some pre-holiday pounds but boy was I wrong. The vet performed an ultrasound and we found that there are 5 for sure but could be more. Her EDD would be sometime between Dec 10th - Dec 25th. I myself won't be due for a few more weeks (Jan. 20th) so needless to say the house is going to be crazy here within a few weeks. Can anybody please give me any advice you have as to caring for a pregnant yorkie please. Being a first time mommy for a skin baby is scary since I'm still in the learning process let alone a first time furbaby grandma. Scared about the new arrivals!

| Congratulations!!! Congratulations! I don't know anything about Yorkies being pregnant or delivering pups, but I do know that you better get all your Christmas shopping and decorations put up now, because you are going to be very busy around the Holidays!! Best of luck to you, Keep us posted on how she and you are doing.

| I'm not sure if I should start looking for loving homes or just wait until they arrive. I know for sure that I am not going to keep them it would just be impossible especially with a newborn arriving. What do you think?

| congratulations on both your pregnancies. I think you would be better off waiting until the puppies arrive and are a few weeks old. then you can advertise them. |

| you need to wait to make sure the y are healthy and have all of their shots. i would not start to interview people until they were at least 8 weeks

| Thank you for all the advice. I just don't want to have to rush finding them a loving family. I wish I could keep them all but with a new baby it's going to be very hard to have all these little ones running around. How do you figure prices on puppies?

| babies That brings back memories.......... My last son was born March 1995 and my Chelsea (cockerspaniel) had a litter of 7 that January. It was a little crazy especially me and my big belly trying to keep the puppy nursery room and all those pups clean. You can do it and if you need to ask for help do that. Best wishes for the holidays and all the babies coming into your life.
