| Upper respiratory infection Just thought I'd post this incase anyone else's baby comes down with the same thing. Gracie is 14 weeks and started making this weird wheezing noise that ended with a hack. Sometimes she has a goose sounding cough that really worried me but she sounded almost like she had a hair ball. Vet did X-rays and ruled out a collapsing trachea, and confirmed she had an upper respiratory infection. Gracie is getting antibiotics and expectorant and should make a full recovery. So, if anybody's baby is doing this, it might be the same thing! |

Such a worry. XXX

YT 2000 Club Member | Thanks for the info. I just got over 2 months of hacking and coughing but I didn't realize our Yorkies could get a respiratory problem too. I hope your little baby gets well soon. |

| Poor Gracie, I hope she gets better quickly. Another illness that is getting more prevalent is canine influenza. Last July, I got a notice from the business where I board my dogs, send them occasionally for daycare and grooming, and also went there for puppy classes. The also do training -- conformation, obedience, agility, flyball, etc. It's a great place, my dogs LOVE going there. They said they would no longer take dogs as clients that had not had the canine influenza vaccine. Two weeks later, I got a letter from my vet saying the same thing. They will see dogs for vet visits that haven't had the vaccine, as long as you bring them in, stay for the appointment, and leave with them. But if you want to drop them off for pick up later, whether for check-ups, grooming, boarding, whatever, they now require the dog to have had the canine influenza vaccine.

| No she never did. She's been sound it since we got her! I did take her to the groomer last week and gave her a really short haircut. Since then she has hardly done it at all!! So maybe she is just getting a hair in her throat or something. Who knows. I've pretty much decided its just what she does. It bothers me way more than it bothers her. She hacks and goes on her merry little way |

| awww my heart hurts when he does that Would you know by any chance up to what age do they grow? Right now Spartacus will be 3 months on the 15 and is weighing 2.6 lbs hes so small but full if that makes sense. Which food brand do you suggest for them? Where I bought him gave us the Eukanuba Pour puppy and the same for wet food but he does not like the wet food much. Was thinking of trying the Royal Canin for Yorkie puppy. |

| OK I just wrote a whole response and lost it lol I guess as long as it does not harm them. I can live with it. Would you by any chance know at what age they stop growing. Spartacus will be 3 months on the 15th and is 2.6 lbs? Also which brand food you suggest he does not seem to like the wet food and only now is actually eating dry food. |
