| great breeder in NJ - EASTHILL YORKSHIRE TERRIERS Gabe and I had been looking to adopt a yorkie for almost a year. We tried to go through a rescue in NJ: Rescue Me Yorkie Rescue, but they wouldn't work with us because we'd never had a dog before and we live out of their jurisdiction. After some searching (especially on this forum), we found Jack Moffit of Easthill Yorkshire Terriers, a FANTASTIC breeder! We took Dexter home at 12 weeks of age last Saturday and Monday we took him to our family vet, who gave Dex's health rave reviews. He is extremely well behaved, eats well and responds to several commands already. If you are looking for a well-bred Yorkie Puppy, Jack is the guy to call. He is recognized by the American Kennel Club and Dex and all his littermates are registered. Easthill Yorkshire Terriers Englewood, NJ (201) 568-2280 Good Luck in your search! |

| Please stay away from a breeder (Joy) in Howell twp. She advertises in the Asbury Park Press and is reasonable so she gets a lot of people. She is a small puppymill operation. The local animal society has been trying to close her but they are unable. It will take a month and constant bathing to get the stench out of your pup and the pup will be guaranteed to come with parasites etc. You do not get to see the parents either, as they are kept in the barns or in the back of the house where the windows are blacked out. And, I'm told she also gets her pups from the Amish when hers are not producing. She sells Yorkies and small breed mixes. Elaine |
