| Looking for a Yorkie in VA or surrounding states! :) Hi! I've been looking for a yorkie for quite some time now & I haven't found many reputable breeders so I was hoping maybe you could help I'm kinda new to this even though I've been a member for quite some time and this is my first post! I don't plan on purchasing one until around January or February because I definitely want to do my research since this would be my first time raising a puppy all by myself. I would prefer to pick it up as well and traveling to any surrounding states is no big deal (I live in Virginia). Pictures never really do justice anyways! I'd prefer a female around 4-6 lbs with the perfect teddy bear face, which is the most important quality. Hopefully you can help and any advice would be awesome! Thanks for taking the time to read this and hope to hear from you soon! |

| I'd suggest you look at the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America (YTCA) site. http://www.ytca.org They have a breeder contact page. Look under Virginia. It appears they've added a few names recently. That's how we found our lil' Brody. Good Luck!

| Wow! I like the site and the information they provide. I'd consider contacting Ponderosa if we decide to add to the family.

| wow! Thanks sooo much for all the replies... I really appreciate it! Well, I live in Lynchburg during the summers but I go to school in Richmond, so I'm here during the school year. And I am not currently looking for a puppy at this time, but I do plan on purchasing one in January or February! -Sylvia |

| There are some of the best breeders in the country right here in Va. I know I show with them all the time! I have pups that will be available in 2 weeks and a litter that was born on Monday. If you have any questions about Va. show breeders I can probably answer them, if not my friend Suzie has been a show breeder here for 18 years. Good luck in your search.

| That is very true and I have thought about that! Now with all these choices that I have I think the hardest thing is going to be picking a breeder and I am very indecisive! Does anyone have any advice or willing to share their experience(s)? Thanks sooo much! Y'all have helped me more than I can state already! |
