| Need a Yorkie Hello everyone i am new to this site and must say i am amazed at all the things on here about Yorkies, it's so helpful. I do not have a Yorkie yet but will definetly be getting one soon. I have wanted a Yorkie for the past 4 years and finally moved out and my boyfriend and I are ready to get a little Yorkie. We are from NY in Queens so if anyone knows of any breeders nearby or not to far away we are willing to travel to pick up our Yorkie. We are going to be traveling at the end of April so we will want to purchase one after we get back from our week vacation. We live in a apartment and we think this would be the perfect size dog for a apartment. We both work and get home around 6pm do you think that is a long time to leave the puppie alone. I mean when we first get it we will both take a week off so the puppie can get used to the apartment but i hope that the puppy is ok on it's own we will definetly leave plenty of water and food and wee wee pads out so the Yorkie can do it's business. Hope that i will get a lot of positive feed back to my post. |

| Welcom to YT. I know there are other people on here who work. I don't have to leave mine alone so I'll let them give the advice. |

| Welcome to YT I'm not sure about working all day, leaving a puppy alone for long periods of time, yorkies need company. Maybe it would be a good idea to get two yorkies at the same time. There will be members here that are able to help you find a good breeder in your area. Good luck

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Welcome! If you can get someone to come at lunch time to see the puppy that would help. Also , the real tiny ones need more time. They need to be fed more often and watched closely.

| what a warm welcome Thank you all for the warm welcome to YT i appreciate all the comments and advice received from everyone. Unfortunatley we work 45 min away from home so it would be hard for us to go home during lunch, although my boyfriend's father works in our neighborhood and maybee we can convince him to go to our home and walk the puppy for us. |

| I finally got my baby his name is Rocky I would just like to say i am a proud parent of a Yorkie finally after so long. I got him on Saturday his name is Rocky and he's 2.1 pounds he's a toy not a tea cup those are way to small he's gonna grow to be 6-8 pounds which is fine with me. He's so playful and i must say it was fast but with out any sprays or anything he pees and poops on the wee wee pads already i love him. He's always runing in back of me and loves to have his body massaged he's such a good boy well i just wanted to do a update and let everyone know wooohooo i am so happy. |
