| I'm looking for love I've been emailing a few local breeders individually and applied to the rescue and now I thought I'd post a want ad. I grew up with my mom's show dogs and in the 70's/80's showed sight hounds of my own. In '91 I had a bad car accident that left me unable to have a dog, healing was slow and I was left with physical limitations mostly weakness, pain, aphasia. What I can offer: 1. Constant love and affection 2. Stable, secure home (we own a larger home in Lancaster, CA). 3. Large grassy yard with 6' block wall fencing. 4. Stay at home mom (I am retired on SSDI so finances are limited) 5. Dad who wants her as much as I do. 6. Obedience experience (Specially trained in operant conditioning during a trial program by the State of CA in 1970's using B.F. Skinner positive methodologies. I used this extensively with my own dogs as well). 7. Rescue experience (In the 70's/80's I did sight hound rescue so I am very familiar with the particular needs of these very special dogs) 8. Knowledge, compassion and understanding of a rescue. What I am looking for in a dog: 1. Love and affection and a constant companion. 2. In the 3 lb range. (Residual spinal injury deficits are weakness, ie lifting limitations and I am looking for a dog I can carry with me EVERYWHERE!) 3. Prefer female (spayed or permission for spaying) or the right male (neuter/permission to neuter). 4. Senior dog or lower energy. These last 20 years without canine companionship have been torture and I so look forward to another chance to love a dog. Maybe you know someone who could love me as much as I could love her/him? Please PM me for any further information or specific contact info. Jo |

| Have you given Pet adoption: Want a dog or cat? Adopt a pet on Petfinder a shot. Many rescues get senior dogs in that due to age are sometimes hard to place. Many come from mills and do not know the love of a human and would love nothing more then to have someone as their constant companion. Please check out petfinder. Type in Yorkie then your zipcode and it will bring up all the dogs in your area. Also, I'm finding quite a few Yorkies in the shelters in CA. Good Luck. Elaine |
