We want to get a Yorkie to add to our family. I'm scared of the ads in the newspaper. One of the 3 ads in the paper says the puppies are 8wks old

From what my research tells me that is about 4wks too early! Can anyone here recommend a good breeder in Alabama. I live in North Alabama but wouln't mind going as far down as Birmingham area or Nashville. We won't be showing our baby but we want one that is raised its first part of life in a loving home (not in backyard with all the others being breed) and with good temperments. And it doesn't have to be ready to go now anytime in the next 4-5 months. I've googled it but I'm still not sure on the ones I found. I don't want a back yard breeder. And also the 3 ads in the paper all say CKC registered

Welcome to YT! You are wise to do your research before looking for your Yorkie! We studied and looked for a year before we found our Toto ... it was certainly worth the wait!

I recommend going to www.ytca.org and looking at the breeders listed on there. You might PM BamaFan121 - she might know of some reputable breeders close by

Hi, I read that you were looking for a Yorkshire Terrier! I happen to have Three litters available as I am posting. Call me at 803-493-4989, and I or my daughter will be able to help you. I have some of Natalie's yorkies and they have produced gorgeous babies!

I live in Rock Hill, SC and if Nat cannot help you, between the two of us you should have tiny paws

wtoeing around your home in no time.

I posted but being new I may have went the long way around things. I owe Several Natalies Yorkies and I have some wonderful litters available myself.

Educate yourself and buy from reputable breeders or rescue.
