| Looing for a certain website.. I came across it a few weeks ago, and I had assumed I had placed it in my favorites, nope! It was a website that had pictures of yorkies on it and explained faults and problems and the close to perfect yorkie. I got the link that someone provided regarding how to judge yorkies wth a few graphic pics that explained things but this site was actual pictures comparing yorkie to yorkie. I am still learning about what I am looking for in a yorkie. It is one thing to read about the standard and look at a drawing but I find I learn better by looking at an actual picture of yorkies. |

| Alas! There lies a probelm. There is one breeder who shows in our province, he was at the same show we were in last year and we were NOT impressed. The puppies were terrfied, silver not blue and horrid coats. Why more judges do not excuse frustrates me (politics..). We are quite remote, to any reputable show breeders. I constantly check for shows within the maritimes and most do not even HAVE yorkies in them. There are no local clubs, one in Toronto though but that is a plane ride or 2 day car ride...cannot see myself going to their meetings, lol. One of the reasons we love yorkies and would like to show and breed is how we hate seeing the terrible deviation that is occuring with breeders. Many yorkies being born in our province are far from the standard, yet the breeders keep pumping them out. |

| Illustrated Standard I believe you can purchase the Illustrated Standard form the YTCA. Go to: http://www.ytca.org then check out the area where items are available. I have purchased a number of copies through the years and gave them to new people starting out. Regards, Cynthia
