| A good read I collect books on showing and on breeds that I have had. I have them from the turn of the century to the present. I have one that may interest some of you. There are chapters on grooming, wrapping, show training, grooming for the ring and how to pick out a show prospect. There are great illustrations. There is one on breeding and the birth of a puppy that I found very interesting. It is not a big book and the information is very basic but it is great for beginners. The book is A Petlove Guide to Yorkshire Terriers by Jackie Ransom. It was published in 1985. I was surprised that Amazon still has some of them. Below is the link. | BTW, it is a British book but the standards are basically the same. It tells how to show on a box. We don't do that in this country but the process of stacking is the same. |
