Default First Impressions?

I am a small breeder who is looking for quality and health in my puppies. I have always wanted to show but don't have alot of time. My female Savannah who I got from a quality show breeder of many years had her first litter Aug 3rd. I had no intentions of keeping any of the puppies from this litter but then after the weeks went on little Milo started coming into himself. What are your first impressions of him? I am thinking of trying to show him. Maybe just in UKC as I would have to handle him. I may get some video of him strutting around for you to see later. He is so full of himself and when he trots around he has the most I'm all That gate. His coat is so fabulous I am just concerned about his size. The breeder I got my girl from said she didn't think he would get past 3.5 pounds. Will I still be able to show him?

This is a picture I took of him at 10 weeks old. My daughter has him at her home as we will co own him. If I want to handle him how should I register his ownership?

Thanks in advance for your time answering!!

Your puppy must be registered AKC to show in AKC you will need his reg information before you will be able to enter him into a show.

Also you must reg him in UKC to show UKC.

Since youre the breeder and youre wanting to show. AKC has a bred by class, you must be down as the owner or co-owner/breeder to show in that class...any other AKC class you do not have to be a co-owner...In UKC show you must be the owner or co-owner, no handlers allowed same in International.

Your pup is cute, how old is he and how much does he weigh now?

Kim thanks for responding. In the picture he is 10 weeks. He is actually 12.5 weeks now and about 2#. He is AKC registered and I realize I will have to dual register him with UKC. The breeder who I got his mother from looked him over and thought he would not mature past 3.5 pounds. She said his lines mature early. She said she doesn't use those charts.

Blessings!

Default puppy

I would encourage you to show him AKC if he continues to develop well..he is a lovely puppy from waht I can see by his photo...and he might well go to 4 full pounds...if he is super nice, I would still show at 3 1/2, but not a bitch.
Why not co-own so you can show him in any class you choose? Keep us updated..and good luck...

He is very beautiful,
I think you certainly should run on him. He is beautiful. Hopefully he will mature nicely for you.

He does have a beautiful face. I can't see his body and structure from the picture. However, I would also encourage you to show him AKC. To show AKC you can handle him.
