| Western Pa Yorkie in need of new home. PLEASE READ First, thank you for reading our ad.....I appreciate any help. Our baby needs a new home. We do NOT want to rehome him but do to my job( I am a travel nurse on and off the road 12 months of the year)... and a recent move we have NO choice. I will NOT SHIP HIM. You must be local. We are located in Delmont Pa 15626. Locally being within 2 hours. That way if there is any issues and you can not keep him, he will be returned to us so that we can find another home. PLEASE READ COMPLETELY BELOW BEFORE CONTACTING This is a copy of the ad I have been placing everywhere: Our baby needs a new home. We do NOT want to rehome him but do to a recent move we have NO choice We have had him since the day he was born. He is 9 years old, has papers and is neutured. He MUST go to an older single person or couple. Someone with lots of time to spend with him. He has food allergies and can only eat certain kinds of foods or he breaks out terribly.Right now he has a rash due to a food allergy(the girl that kept him for us while we moved gave him the wrong food) It will clear up and he will have a beautiful coat again. He also has a flea allergy so he must be flea treated 12 months of the year.( I use the kind with heart gaurd in it also) He is independent in nature but wants to cuddle and sleep with you. He gives lots of kisses. He has a baby he LOVES. He will play fetch and chase with you. He LOVES his doggie bed. He HATES chickens and roosters. He HATES doorbells and elevators...we dont know why but the sound of any of them makes him mad:>) He swims in the summer, loves the water. Is SO good for bath time but does not like his nails cut, I usually have to take my time and do one at a time.( I think when he was a puppy a groomer hurt him. His hair is beautiful brown and black. I have always kept it short but it will grow long and flowing. His name is Zoey...yes its a girls name but its the one the kids wanted when he was born. He does know it...so ive never changed it. We call him "baby Zoey" He LOVES pizza and Italian bread Now....I am looking for a PERMANENT HOME so.... He has always had a doggie door and rarely has accidents in the house unless he does not have access to the outside. He will not use a pee pad, atleast he wouldnt for me. With the move to the new home and no acces to the outside, it has become an issue( but that is NOT why we have to rehome him, We arent allowed to keep him here.) If you have no tolerance for an accident here and there....DONT BOTHER. Also yorkies lose their teeth, I brush his and he has kept most. He has cataracts but sees fine. He hears perfect. He cant jump from heights anymore due to yorkies hips go bad. Yorkies have an issue with collapsed trachea....he gets this wheezing, cant catch his breath thing sometimes(rare) it is easily fixed, changed climates(take outside) or simply pick up his front paws and talk gently to him and tell him soothingly"calm down, its ok" and it will stop. He will only go to the RIGHT home. An older person that has the time to spend with him and wants a loving companion is perfect. I will not consider homes with small children due to his age. Yorkies can live to be 20 years and he is perfectly healthy. IF the home we chose doesnt work out, he can come back here until we can find him another home. I NEVER want him caged...he has never been, ever. We put him in the kitchen when we leave. This is a wonderful loving, beautiful little boy and will make a wonderful companion. If you are interested in being his new mommy/daddy...please drop us a line. You must have a vet either that you have used before or you will be using. He gets his shots every year and we have all his health records. I have been a responsible pet owner....this breaks my heart to do this.....I will not send him with anyone that can not give him the love he deserves. Rehoming fee will be given to the vet of your choice for his first check up. The pic of the dogs, he is the one without the dress(he does wear clothes though) Now I have looked into all the local yorkie rescues. Just my opinion....no offense.....I feel more comfortanble doing this myself. I have ads in several papers and CL....no lectures. I have went through 30 people and still havent found anyone I want to place him with. If you or you know of someone that has the love for yorkies like the people on this site seem to have,,,PLEASE contact us. I want a forever home. No cages....No multiple owners.... I can be reached at samannbar@yahoo.com |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | You mention the rehoming fee above (that you'll give to the new owner's vet), but we do require you actually disclose the amount - could you please post it? In this section, the max fee is $300. I hope you find him the perfect home .
