| Need Help Soon! Ok everyone so last night in the outdoor laundry room of our apartment complex we found a female chihuahua shivering in the corner in like 40 degree weather. Of course you know where she is now ... Anyway just got her scanned and of course no chip. We have an add placed on CL for a "found dog" but have only placed her breed on there and asked that anyone who calls verify her coloring and markings. Contacted the animal control and the shelter with no luck. No one seems to be looking for her. We have gone around the complex and no one knows where she came from. She is very thin and has something going on with one of her back legs. She favors it when she walks but seems to have full use for the most part and it does not seem to cause her any pain when we touch it. She is severely frightened and terrified of Rudi because he is a very up in your face type of pup and can't leave her be. Our calm dog she does fine around. I don't think it has anything to do with her not liking other dogs I really believe she is just scared to death. She looks like she has been roaming for a long time. My heart breaks for her. Now for the really fun part... trying to find a rescue! I contacted SBRET and they were no help they basically told me no and did not direct me in any other direction. I emailed back asking for further direction on who I could contact next. I have no doubt they are busy and have no room/no homes open but I found it a little disheartening that they didnt offer any other suggestions. There seems to be no TN breed rescue for Chihuahuas and I have no clue where to go from here. We will not take her to a kill shelter obviously but we can not keep her. We just can't afford another dog right now. She is such a sweetie but I have to be realistic. Reality is she NEEDS to get into a rescue groups hands that can help her in the way she needs. I have no clue where to go from here can anyone give me some direction? I also want to make it clear I am not putting down SBRET at all. I have heard wonderful things about them. Just feeling frustrated and needing help! Thanks everyone.

| That's great! My brother found a small chihuahua running around our neighborhood park and brought her home. We put up signs and the owners showed up - a high school boy. He had found her on CL and bought her for his GF but she had to stay at his house (her folks wouldn't allow her to be there). Well, BF's mother opened the door and pushed her out a few times because she didn't want her. My mom told him that if anything happened, that she would give him $50 for her. Two days later, she was back at my folks'. That was 3 years ago and little Daisy is one spoiled lady... I hope that she finds a nice home!! I'm so glad you picked her up! Poor thing is probably terrified...

| Hey everyone! 'Missy' went to the vet the other day and got a good bill of health for the most part. The limp was as I expected from an old injury. The vet said it looked to be an old fracture. She is such a well mannered little dog and came out of her shell so much within the past few days. 'Missy' is being spayed today and I believe they are putting her leg in a splint to stabilize it. Pat (with the rescue) promised me updated pictures and to let me know what happens with her. I so wish we could have kept her... she is such a sweet baby. I am just beyond thankful that I was able to get her a spot with a rescue. My little ones keep going to our spare bedroom and looking for her through the baby gate :/
