| Rehoming 8 Yr. Old Female Yorkie w/ Issues in MD. Last week I / Maryland Pet Match (mdpetmatch.org), took in an 8 yr. old / 11 lb., cute little female teapot in the middle of a false pregnancy. She is a very nice dog, but was surrendered because she was biting at the previous owner's small children (she thought they were going to take her "babies"). Her milk came in, and she carries around and cares for small stuffed toys. The goal is to let her get through the hormonal imbalance, and then have her spayed, so she will not be ready for adoption for a little while yet. I think she will turn out to be an extra special fur baby for the right person or family, and her current behavior is insecurity and hormone driven. She wants nothing more than to sit in your lap and be loved and petted. She needs to be in a home without young children, preferably with someone who is home a lot, who can be a firm but loving pack leader for her. After talking to previous owners, gathering her vet and social history, I get the impression that she has spent years in a crate, living the life of a back yard breeder dog. We are her 5th placement that I know of (mostly through no fault of her own). She doesn't play much, but has been fine with my other three dogs. She does growl at them on occasion, (but hasn't lunged nor bitten) if they come too close to the dog bed where her "babies" are. I have not seen any distructive behavior, and she is not high energy, though she does need some work on her outdoor potty training. She barks only when she hears something like the doorbell. She will be rehomed fully vetted, utd on shots, spayed, flea and tick protected, microchipped and heartworm tested. Blossom's adoption fee is $225. (which doesn't even cover all the vet care), and she is available for adoption in Maryland. Perspective adopters will fill out an application and agree to a home visit. We check your references and your vet history. We would prefer a fenced yard, though she is leash trained. I'd love to see her find a home with someone who has previous Yorkie experience, and understands the special needs that Yorkies have. That's why I am posting here. It's so important to me that this beautiful little girl finds her "forever" home where she will be loved and cherished for the little princess that she is. In return, I am sure that she will be the most loyal and loving lap dog that you will ever meet. Do you think you could be her "perfect match"? Please let me know if you might be interested in meeting Blossom. I will be happy to send you my phone number, and answer additional questions. - Kim

| Hope this baby finds the perfect furever home. Bless her heart, 5 placements is just heart breaking. Sending prayers you find the right family for her.
