| So excited!!! Finally!! I am rescuing a little female yorkie tomorrow!! I'm so excited because I've been wanting to do this and finally my opportunity came. She is 3 years old and needs teeth cleaning. The skin around her eyes are raw...from trying to get out the cage (I heard). She's been caged up most of the time and matted when the person rescued her from that circumstance. I'm taking her in because the girl can't keep her and I don't want her to go into the wrong hands. Wish me luck and I will keep you guys updated! I've been waiting for a foster from YTNR...but there were none in my area (I guess) since the last time I was contacted was the distance of where I live from a specific shelter. This will be my first time and If you have advice for me, please send them along! I know some people who are affiliated with rescues so I will be so lucky to have their help! More help and advice, the merrier!!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | That's great!! Poor baby. SInce it seems like she doesn't like to be crated maybe look into an ex pen for the times she would need to be crated. Look for signs of allergies as the raw skin could be a sign of that. If you can get vet records or the vet's name. I know she will be so grateful to be in a loving home. I can't wait to hear more.

| Sad... So I have picked her up. She's in the process of getting adjusted. I just gave her a bath. Her nipples looks like they have been nursed on before (she's not spayed), so that means that she's given birth before... She's less than 4 lbs!!!! Her teeth are in REALLY BAD shape. It looks molded and the gum's rotting. It even looks like the gum is growing on the teeth. Will she need teeth extraction? There's a vet that will do all that for $200. Is that a good deal? She's super matted here and there...When you touch her, you can feel her spine, ribs, and just about everything...she needs to gain weight. I was told that the vet suggested putting her to sleep because of the condition of her teeth... Is that ever the case?? I feel so sad for her. She pooped and her poop is bad (really soft). She pees A LOT and poops quite a lot too. She is fenced into a little area with a crate inside as she's not potty trained. I have placed potty pads all over inside the fenced area so she can go whenever...I took the door off the crate because I don't want her to be scared of it. My top concern is her weight, skin around the eyes/muzzle, and her teeth. If you have any advice for me, please! I have attached pictures on here. She has the cutest ears!! They remind me of Dumbo

| oh that poor baby! I bet she's never had her teeth looked after so you will probably be looking at extractions. better to get them out before the bad teeth lead to other health problems. and being toothless or near toothless is absolutely NO reason to put her to sleep! I would be shocked at a vet who would suggest it. There are lots of dogs who do just fine without teeth. there is kibble that's small enough to be swallowed whole and there is canned food. I can't give you any input on the cost as it's been years and years since I've had a baby need extractions. Best of luck with her. |

| Bless you for saving this poor girl. She will most likely loose many teeth during her dentistry, but she will feel Soooo much better & gain weight when she gets those infected teeth out. You will be amazed how she comes around when she feels better. I have a rescue ( Lilly Mae ) that had the most horrendous teeth I have ever seen & she was skin & bones & couldn't walk from back pain when she came to me. After her dentistry & a couple of trips to the Chiropractor she started to gain weight & act like a puppy again @ 10 yrs old. She had to have all of her boobies removed on 1/20 as they all had started to grow little tumors in them. She got her stitches out 2 wks ago & is doing super today & she's now 12 yrs old. You will see, she will come around & she will be so grateful to you for all you have done for her. |

| OMW!!! I can't believe she is ONLY 3 years old!! Poor baby...she's obviously going to need a LOT of TLC!! Besides getting her to a Vet...I'd make sure she's on premium quality dog food....maybe even supplements...I'm sure she'll look like a totally different dog when she gets the love, attention and nutrition she desperately NEEDS!!!
