| Do you sew? Free pattern for panties/diaper! If you need a way to keep your dog from soiling either due to house training, incontinence, or seasonal issues, I might have something for you. I hunted all over the web and couldn't find a decent pattern for dog panties/diapers, so finally I bit the bullet and made my own. Puddin' now has five pairs of these, and they work like a charm. I researched these carefully, looking at the few existing patterns and dog panties/diapers on offer in online shops and eBay before coming up with a design that I think is superior to what is commercially available. The tail hole is set high, to prevent poo accidents from spilling out (a fault in my first prototype) and that position should work to protect females in season from being accidentally bred. The legs have elastic to improve the fit, and the elastic is encased to prevent pinching skin or matting hair. There is an elastic strip inside the back waist band to also snug the panty to the dog's body. These close with "hook and loop" fabric, but unlike the majority of commercially available ones I have seen, these close in the front, over the dog's belly, rather than over the back. This allows a close fit in the groin area, again preventing leakage. These are designed to be used with an adhesive-backed panty shield or liner, the more absorbent, the better. These are easily changed and disposed of. Since this is a pattern, you get to choose the fabric and the trims. These take just a couple of hours to run up, use less than 1/4 of a yard of fabric, and simple instructions for custom fitting are included. If you'd like a copy of the pattern and instructions, they are attached in jpg format here:

| This is a pic of the original one. The pattern has the tail hole set higher, but otherwise, it is pretty much the same, at least in looks.
