| Dog Runners? Ok, so I went out this afternoon to look at some kennels at a local store and talked to a friend who owns the store. He recommended trying out a dog runner (cost $39) before investing so much money in a $200-$400 kennel. Because they're cheaper, give them more room to run, no way to escape and look a lot better than a huge kennel out in your yard. I've seen many dogs on runners before and as long as you make sure their lead isn't too long or too short they are safe. Of course if I did get one he would be wearing his harness not a collar so he won't get choked to death! I have bought one of the in ground stake thingys with a runner attached to it but I didn't like it bc since the cord was on the ground he got tripped up in it and so did the other dogs when they were playing. So this new runner seems like a good alternative. But I wanted to check with everyone here for experiences before I get one. Thanks!
