No Longer a Member | Anyone Make They Own Carriers? Has anyone ever converted an old purse into a pup carrier? I have a lot of old purses that I would like to recycle into dog carriers, but have no idea where to start. Anyone have any suggestions, or websites that can help me out? Thanks! |

| I have converted several purses into Yorkie carriers. I either cut a panel out (bind the edges) and replace it with mesh, or use grommets to make a design on the purse, that is actually breathing holes. So many purchased carriers that they sell here are cutsie with paw or bone prints, or have areas where the pups can just poke out anytime they want. With real purses no one knows I have a yorkie with me. I love purses with outside compartments for wallet and phone, so I don't "let the dog out of the bag" when ever I make a purchase. |

| You're a smart girl! That's why I love my Alex bag. I'm so not a purse loving girl. I only have a few really small purses, none that Kaji would fit into. Maybe Google can help you find a re-purposing site?

| I just converted a small purse into a pup carrier, by removing the inside divider, and creating mesh panels in the back & one end. I'm picking up my puppy next week from the breeder & didn't want her sliding around in a carrier that was too large for her, and I didn't want to invest alot of money in a carrier that she will quickly out grow. |

YT Addict | (I know this is old:/ )I was wondering the same thing. I have a super cute grey leather purse that would be perfect as a carrier. It has a huge pocket in the front so I could put my phone and wallet in there, I just can't sew or anything. I have a sewing machine, I just don't know how to use it
