Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I have Embrace. I havent had to file for anything yet, but it is affordable. However, you need to do it soon, because I think they have to be under 7 to get it in place. 1800-511-9172 Embrace - Veterinary Pet Health Insurance for Your Dog or Cat The easiest would be to call them and speak to them. There is an orthopedic waver you have to have filled out to be cleared of any of those issues. AND they don't research the pets history until the first claim. So, anything pre exisiting is not covered. |

| Here's a terrific site to compare various plans: Compare dog insurance - Pet Insurance Review You can click to see user's reviews on each plan. I chose Petplan and I am extremely happy with them. I have the Silver plan with a $50 deductible per incident and no co-pay. Zoey was sick this Feb. and racked up well over $700 in vet bills...mostly tests and meds. They paid every penny for her 3 visits to the vet, meds, and numerous tests. Since it was all due to one illness, all I paid was the one $50 deductible. We are on a fixed income, so I'm mainly worried about major bills. (Petplan doesn't cover normal maintenance like shots, etc.) Now, I feel free to do the very best for her, without concern about the bills. Let me tell you ... that is just GREAT.
