| Who has a collar on their Yorkie? Why did you choose the collar over the harness. Isnt the harness better. I'm just asking and not trying to bring you down |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | I have a collar for my boy but only to hold his tags and bell, when we go for our mini walks (he's only 11 wks) I use a harness... I would never use a collar to put his leash on b/c of the yorkie's sensitive neck...

| So what if your baby does not pull on walks. Do you transfer his tags to his harness when going for walks. |

| Sophie Kate has a collar and a harness, collar is on at all times and never used for walking. When we go outside she is always on a leash and the harness goes on along with the collar staying on (no tranferring tags).

| I use a collar and a harness for Callie the collar is only for her tags and I use the harness when she is going to be on the leash. I never ever hook the leash to the collar.

| same here, maddie,- even being a 9.5 teapot uses a harness--she wears a collar, but only for tags.

| I never think its a good idea to use a collar for walks even if they dont pull because they might see something they want to pull for and collars are easier to slip out of then a harness. Callie wears her collar all the time (except for baths) even when she has her harness on.

| Jackson has a collar on 24/7 with his tags, and for walks, we slip the harness on but leave the collar on as well.

| Same here. Collar with tags on 24/7 and always use the harness for walking. You never know when you may need to pull them in in an emergency and I prefer to be safe rather than sorry.

| collar My Rex has a collar on 24/7 i mainly use the collar but at times i use a harness. The vet told me i can't use a harness untill he's over a year. He's only 10 months old now. But i have noticed that he dose pant a bit with the collar. Which is best. |

| You really shouldn't use a collar to walk him at all. They can collapse their trachea. You should only use a harness for walks. Did you vet say why you should wait until he's a year old? Welcome to YT! |

| Sadie Mae has her collar on 24/7 which is there to merely hold her tags. When I walk her, I slip her harness on also and attach her leash to the harness. |
