| Your fave treat to occupy them? I like to get Bailey treats she can gnaw on for a while to occupy her when I get on the computer or sew or write and it seems like I can't really find anything that holds her over long enough. Last week I got her a denta-bone type thing from Pet Supplies Plus that didn't last 24 hours. Today was her 2nd trip to the groomers and I like to get her a new special treat when I take her so I purchased Pedigree Jumbone Minis but it doesn't last 10 minutes and I don't want to keep giving them to her because that's too much in a day. I've seen those everlasting treat balls but I have never bought one. Is it worth the price? And the replacements seem costly also but if it is worth it to other yorkie owners, I will give it a try. Also I would like to add that I would not recommend the Jumbone Minis for your yorkie; when it gets down to the last inch or half-inch, Bailey seems to get it stuck to the roof of her mouth so I won't be buying these again. Thanks!

| Thanks for replying. Where do you get them at and do you recall a price?

| Mine like the everlasting treat balls, but they don't last that long with my dogs. They have figured out how to pop the treat out of the ball and just eat it. I've tried a couple different configurations of the ball, but the result is always the same. I'm with you, I'm tired of buying treats that don't even last a day. I've been considering buying one of those huge beef bones -- I know they can't eat that in one day! LOL

| Red barn or Merrick Bully sticks. I get the 6-8" size, keeps them happy all day.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Joey loves Merrick Bully sticks too, and they seem to be good for the teeth. You can do a search on google, I think one of our members AMD sells them as well.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I like Bullies for Wylie and Steer Sticks for Marcel (they are a lot thinner and nice for Marcel, who is small). I get mine at an incredible price from eddieb260 on eBay. A $22 bag lasts me almost a year!

| Gosh I wish mine lasted that long! A 6" bully stick lasts 10-15 minutes in our house.

Any company can call their product a Bully Stick, and some are softer and more like a food product than a chewing stick. It usually takes Joey a whole week to eat one, and he's chewing on it the whole week.

| Hmm, I've never thought about that - we have tried two different brands before (including the ones from AMD). When Franklin was younger it took him longer but mine are power chewers! It probably doesn't help that they're 10 and 13lbs. Once when they were staying with my mom, she bought them rawhide bones (without my knowledge) and they each chewed through a big bone in a couple of hours. I'm skeptical but I wonder if going back to Merrick (gosh, they're so expensive) would help. Maybe we'll try. Thanks for the suggestion.

You might want to try "thick" bully sticks. There are several reputable vendors that sell them including eddieb260 that Wylie's Mom mentioned. I'm not sure if any of our YT vendors sell the "thick" bully sticks or not, if so you might want to check with them -- I am all for supporting our YT family. | |

| I wish Pao would chew more often on his bullystick and the Merrick's cow tail that I bought him...Every night he chews for like maybe 1-2 minutes or at most 5 mins and then he is done.

Hey that's great, that's probably all it takes to scrape the teeth of tartar anyway.
