| [News] ASPCA on hunt for Yorkie's killer ASPCA on hunt for Yorkie's killer Sunday, July 8th 2007, 4:00 AM The ASPCA is following up leads phoned in to its hotline about the slaying of a beloved Yorkshire terrier on Staten Island. "Until we talk to the people we've been directed to, it's hard to say how credible the tips are," said spokesman Joseph Pentangelo. "I'd say right now that we're hopeful." Eddie, the 8-year-old Yorkie, died Wednesday after someone let off three shots from a pellet gun in Port Richmond the day before. A mysterious note left at the home six weeks before the shooting led investigators to believe the dog may have been shot because he barked too much. The ASPCA has gotten about 20 calls, mostly from New Yorkers expressing outrage. Anyone with information should call (877) THE-ASPCA. Robert F. Moore (Click the link below to see the source article w/ a photo of Eddie) http://www.nydailynews.com/news/crim..._killer-1.html

| I read that story. It's just heartbreaking to think a kid or person would actually do this to an innocent animal just because it was barking. Sick. |

| I'm pleased that they say the leads are promising. I hope they find the person who did this.
