[News] Couple: Yorkie Snatched Near Dallas Home DALLAS - Allison Wood said she is still in shock after her fiance took three of their Yorkshire terriers out for fresh air and a man snatched one of them. The dogs were walking near the couple's home off of Elm Street when she said two men in a car pulled up and the passenger jumped out and grabbed the dog. "It's not just a dog," Wood said. "He's like a child to me. I've had him for years. It's so sad that somebody would do that." Wood said her fiance didn't think Neman, the stolen Yorkshire terrier, needed a leash since the dogs were going to the bathroom. But when Neman wandered ten feet away, she said it was just enough time and distance for the man to make a quick getaway with the animal. "He's so upset, because you know, if he would have just had him on a leash that wouldn't have happened," she said. "But it was just one of those things. It happened so quick. He just really didn't expect it." Wood put up fliers offering a reward for Neman. She said she believes the dog snatchers took the dog because he is a pure-bred Yorkshire terrier, which is worth more than a $1,000. "This morning was horrible," she said. "But we'll work through it, and hopefully somebody will do the right thing." She said from now on, her and her fiance will always keep their dogs on a leash. http://www.wfaa.com/sharedcontent/dw...n.2ebceca.html

My little Neime I'm in tears as I write this cuz I miss my little Neime so much. Words can not even describe how sad and how I feel like such a failure to my little pup. I love all of my yorkies but Neime is so tiny and helpless. My little Neime is priceless to me I have no idea what else to do... I just feel so empty inside w/out my baby!! I just don't understand how somebody could take my little one from me!!! We think we know who stole him but it's hard to prove!

missingmyneiman: That's heartbreaking, is Neiman microchipped? Or is there any way you use DNA evidence to prove that he's your Yorkie? Have you told the police who you think may have stolen him?

Nemie No he isn't and I'm just sick that I didn't have that done. I thought his collar and tags would be enough. We found the truck and went w/ the police but it's hard to prove they did it w/o seeing Neiman w/ them! I keep driving past but have had no luck

| This is just terrible. To lose your baby like that...Right under your nose...Once again people, we all need to know the importance of the mircro-chip. I had one inserted in Dollie the first trip to the Vet when I got her home. We must do everything we can to safe guard our babies. I'm so sorry for you. I would be beside myself .....and if I believe this person took my baby...Micro chip or not...I would have her back....
