| About 6 months after I rescued my Yorkie Bad Leroy Brown was apparently stung by a bee and went into shock and stopped breathing. His eyes rolled back in his head, he had no respiration, no heartbeat, and was as limp as a wash cloth..... but losing him was not an option I wanted to consider, so I started doing CPR as someone drove us to the emergency vet hospital in a nearby town .... by the time we got there, he had begun to breath but it was very shallow. The vet gave him a shot and kept him for several hours doing tests. Of course, it was Sunday afternoon, and when I went to pick him up later that evening, I got a whopping bill . . . . but at least I didn't lose my baby boy. Four years later, he's still a happy, healthy boy. |
