| [News] Indiana News Report on Pet Stores There is going to be a special report tonight at 11:00 P.M. on channel WTHR 13 Eyewitness News in Central Indiana about petstores and where these puppies come from. From the previews it looks like it will very interesting and sad. Since I can't stay awake that long, I will be setting the VCR to tape it. Just wanted to let everyone know about this report so those interested can see it.

| Is it on NBC Dateline? Here is a featured article from Dateline that covers that issue. http://ecsel.psu.edu/~dwg128/essay.html |

| Great info! Education of how that "cute puppy in the window" got there is our greatest defense against the horrible puppymills. Thanks for sharing.

Great article, but it's not the same. This will be on the local news here in central Indiana and I'm pretty sure Dateline is National. I think this is a report on how these puppies are making it to Indiana pet stores. The name of the report is Puppy Pipeline. Here is a link to what it is about.. http://www.wthr.com/global/Story.asp?s=7399716

| If you didn't get a chance to see the news report, you can see it on this link. Just look under the video box and click on 'Part 1'. I had no idea this was going on in Indiana. Does anyone here from Indiana live in Davies county? I think that's the county they mentioned..southwest of Indianapolis.

| I watched this, I also want to watch the second part...and I cannot understand how in this world people get away with this.are not punished If they had this video clip on as much as they had Ellen and Iggy on National televison then maybe we would not have these problems..or at least not as many..If this was given more airtime/exposure I think it might help people that are considering buying from petstrores more aware...if all it did was stop a lot of the sales of puppy's in pet stores, then possibly the need/demand would not be there..But as sad as it is, there are many many people out there that have no idea of what really goes on. Sad but true. Maybe we need to make it our mission to have these national news shows, air this kind of dog life more often, make more people aware... Really I am absolutely speechless, I get so angry when I see this going on, it breaks my heart. But who am I alone to stop this. And why do puppy mills be government inspected and get away with this...we need stiffer Laws.... |

| I know I'm not the brightest bulb in the pack, but I thought these people (Amish is who they mentioned) were religious people, how can they have so little disregard for a life? And they don't have to be religious people, how can ANYONE care so little?

BANNED FOR NOT MAILING PRODUCTS PURCHASED | that is just so sad. I don't know how they can get away with it! when I set out to find a yorkie, I went to this lady about 10 min from where I live and she had this huge kennel in her back yard that was not fit for a ant to live in. I was not suppose to go in, but she was no where to be found so her helper took me to see the parents and I was just sickened by what I saw! She had about 25 different breeds, all caged, then when I went outside to see the yorkies, she had them in a ex-pen and as I was leaving the owner started counting the pups in the pen, I guess to make sure i didnt steal one. It was so sad. It was in the middle of summer and they would spray all the dogs down with a hose to keep them cooled off. Needless to say, i did not buy from her. |

| I didn't catch it last night.. but I did see a portion on the news today and that is horrible! My husband and I actually looked at a weimerainer at uncle bills in greenwood several years ago and we asked the girl where the pup was from "the amish... they either breed dogs or make furniture" what a great sales pitch, huh?! safe to say.. we didn't purchase. but i can't believe the vice president of uncle bills said he sees nothing wrong with where the pups come from
