| [News] Senior Citizen Fights Off Would-Be Dognapper SAN DIEGO – A 73-year-old woman fought off a man who snatched the bag carrying her Yorkshire terrier late Tuesday night by hitting him with a bag of books and kicking him in the groin. San Diego police Sgt. Jim Schorr said the woman was pushing a shopping cart near the intersection of 6th and Pennsylvania Avenues in Hillcrest about 10:45 p.m. when a man rode by on a bike and grabbed the bag from the cart. It's not clear whether he knew her 12-year-old dog was inside. The man started to ride away, but the woman swung her book bag at him, knocking him off his bike. She then kicked him in the groin and snatched back the bag containing her dog. The man got up, hit the woman in the head and rode off on his bike, police said. The woman and the dog were not injured in the attack; the would-be dognapper is still on the loose. http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/m...n29dognap.html |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | What a terrifying thing for someone to go thru at ANY age - I commend her for fighting but that jerk could have killed her hitting her in the head - I just cannot BELIEVE people and all the stealing of yorkies and other small breeds - EVERYONE be careful with those babies when you have them in carriers or out in public !! It's just NOT safe anymore.... anywhere ! |
