| worried about diddy hi everyone. diddy is scheduled to get neutered on wedsnesday. he is 6 months old and weighs 3 pounds 4 ounces. his testicles have not descended so they have to look in his abdomen and take it out. also, he has an umbilical hernia that needs to be repaired. i will also ask them to take out his remaining baby teeth he has left as well as microchip him. im worried that something may go wrong. i hope all goes well with his surgery. |

| Diddy is very cute. Don't worry everything will be fine. Bradley's testicles didn't fully drop when we had him neutered and we also had him microchip which is just like a shot, i guess. Diddy will do fine. Let us know how everything goes.

| Always such a worry isn't it? Never a worse moment than when you have to leave them at the vet but don't forget the wonderful moment when you go to pick him up!! It's wise to have everything done at once - Gypsy Rose was spayed 6 months ago and I was frantic, after 24 hours she was great though and spaying is a bigger op than neuturing so Diddy will be fine but if you're like me you aren't going to believe that until you get him back!! DO let us know how it goes, love, Ana xx |

| Hope Diddy has a safe surgery. He looks like a real trooper. The vet will take good care of him. It's always a worry any surgery or teeth pulling, but do realize you are doing a good thing for Diddy! |

| I will be thinking of all your furbabies. You do worry and stress out over it but, in the long run it is the heathiest thing you could do for them. With Diddy being smaller, if something comes up and they can't do it, make sure you reschedule it for a few days later. You don't want him not to have eaten for so long. Good wishes to Kayko and Diddy, they will bounce back fast.................Cindy When you said Diddy's testicles didn't drop, it made me think about a Beagle my family had when I was about 8 years old, it also made me feel old old that was 40 years ago. lol We went as a family to buy him, they had about 10 puppies to pick from. My sister and I wanted the first one we saw, but my day had to look them all over, it seemed he took forever to pick one. We named him Bullet and his testicles never droped, we still tease dad about it all that inspecting and he probably got the only one like that.................Cindy Last edited by Maddie-Rudy-Mom; 12-12-2004 at 07:23 PM. |

| update on diddy: I brought diddy to the vet's yesterday but the attending doctor decided that she wanted to wait 3 months to do the neuter so that he could mature and gain a little more weight. they did give him anthesia beforehand because i dropped him off early and they thought that he was going to have the procedure done since it was planeed. although they did microchip him to get it out of the way and cut his nails. poor diddy, he was a little drowsy when i picked him up and wanted to sleep. but now he's all better. we'll see how everything goes in march. thanks for all your support. |

| Browniesmom ... hope all goes with Kayko! Let us know how everything went!? Diddy's mom ... hope poor little Diddy has bounced back after the anesthesia! I hate it for him that he has to wait and go through that again! We had to wait until Toto was 8 months for her spaying ... Dr. Lucy said that it was OK to wait past 6 months for the tiny ones because of their size. I know when the time comes he will be fine!
