Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Yes, bile can definitely be yellow....even greenish sometimes, but yellow is more common. Poor thing! How is her stool during these times? Can you tie it to anything...time of day, chew toys previous day, after drinking water....or anything? So hard to find the cause sometimes, isn't it?

| I have seen this way too may times. Louis is a finicky eater, so when he decides he doesnt want to eat his dry food he will starve himself for about a day or even two I hate those days. So what usually ends up happening is that once he is desperatley hungry he throws up some bright yellow foamy bile. Then and only then does he eat. I feed him on a schedule so I know when he eats and when he doesn't. Doing this allows one to know how their appetite is and what exactly they eat as well. Let us know how it goes, you can always call your vet and ask, or simply monitor your baby's intake of food and water. yorkies are known to vomit, have diahrea and other smelly problems ( I read many yorkie books) Im telling you these little ones know how to remain the center of attention good luck!!!!

| It sounds like bile to me, they often puke up bile when they have an empty stomach so perhaps smaller meals several times a day may work? |

| I rushed to my vet the first time my finicky eater did this a few times in one week. They told me the same thing, empty stomach, and that we should feed him closer to bedtime so that he doesn't wake up with an empty stomach. Problem SOLVED. Hasn't happened since!

| Mine don't usually need to go #2 during the night. sometimes they wake up and have to do #1, but they can wait for #2 until the morning when I get up. I'm sure it depends on each dog, but it is worth a try!
