| Puppy Limping My 5 1/2 month old puppy has started limping on his back left leg. It's really weird because he only does it when he gets up from sleeping. Then he holds up the leg for about 2 minutes as he walks outside to relieve himself. By the time he gets outside, he lifts his leg, standing on the leg he was just holding up. For the rest of the time he's awake, he runs, plays, jumps, etc. and doesn't limp or favor the leg in any way. This has been going on for about a week now, so I'm taking him to the vet tomorrow to be checked out. I'm so worried it might be a luxating patella or leg-perthe disease. Hopefully it will just be something simple like a pulled muscle, but does anyone have any experience with a puppy limping only after he wakes up from a nap???? |
