| Milli's getting spayed today I took my little Milli into the vet this morning to get spayed, microchipped, and have 2 baby teeth pulled I choked back tears as I left her with the vet tech, but I know it's the best thing to do for her, and that I'm being responsible in doing so, but I still feel bad about putting her through the surgery. I remember how weak Emma was when she came home, and Milli's smaller than Emma was at 4 lbs. this morning. I discussed everything with the vet tech, (meds, timing, etc.) and talked to her about the doctor that would be doing the surgery, and how things would go. I took her to the vet I'm most comfortable with for this type of thing, but it still makes me uneasy to leave my little "Millipede". Emma was really sad to be missing her fursister when I came home-she was barking like crazy, and I could tell she had been hanging around Milli's pen and looking for her. The pee pads and blankets nearby were all messed up, and she didn't play with any of her toys like she usually does while I was out. I'm off work today, which I think is almost worse than being at work-at least working takes my mind off things for awhile.

| I heard from the vet tech, she said Milli's out of surgery and waking up. She said everything went fine! I can pick her up in a few hours!

| That's great. I'm glad Milli did well. I had Lexie spayed on Tuesday and I was a wreck. I cried the night before imagining all the worst possible scenarios b/c I'm a drama queen like that about my baby. She's fine today. I'm really having to be on my toes b/c I honestly don't think she realizes she had surgery and is healing. The little monkey keeps trying to jump off the couch! Meanwhile, before this is over I'll prolly be hospitalized for a heart attack! |

| That is great! Don't you feel so much better that it is over with? Willow was supposed to get spayed 3 weeks ago, but didn't (long story) so now she goes in on Tuesday so I can stay home and watch her on the 4th. She is now over two pounds and still has some teeth that need to go. I am glad I waited, but I know I will be crying when I leave her at the vet too . So glad to hear that yours went well! |

| I was so worried when I took Milo 2 months ago to be castrated and microchipped but he was so brave. He cried the first night home so I slept with him downstairs but was soon back to his normal naughty self after 1 day. I'm glad Milli is ok, I think we worry far more than they do. |

| Good to hear Ms. Milli is doing well! Be careful with running and jumping, etc, though. I don't know about girls, but they said to keep Kobi contained after being neutered, and it was soo hard because yorkies are some WILD children...but good luck and hopefully she heals really quickly!

| Thanks to all of you! We took her to the vet to be rechecked this morning, and they said she looks great! (Their policy is that all spayed dogs have to stay overnight to be rechecked in the morning, which I REFUSE to do since they don't have someone there all night, and WHY would I pay a night of boarding when I could have her home with me, where I can watch her and care for her?) She has a little bruising around the incision, but other than that she's looking great! I have her eating chicken and brown & white rice right now, since I know tummies can be a little sensitive after all those drugs in their little systems. She's doing pretty well so far at leaving the incision alone, and I've got a onesie on her at almost all times to keep her from picking at her stitches. HOW am I going to keep her still and resting? I know others of you have had challenges with this too! She's tired when I can get her to rest, but when she's awake, she's feisty little Milli once again! She even chewed out Emma last night for coming too near one of "her" toys! She's wanting to go up and down stairs on her own, jumping on and off the bed, and she wants to roughhouse with Emma...so, right now she's in her crate with her head down on her stuffed cupcake toy, pouting at me through the bars. Poor baby!
