| What do your yorkies eat? In case you haven't noticed, I'm posting a lot tonight; trying to get my post number up, hehehe. J/k. I actually have a valid question Along the same lines as I posted earlier (how much do your babies eat), WHAT do your babies eat? Right now Sadie eats the Eukanuba Small Breed (she's 7 months), but I'm thinking of switching for a few reasons. One is because I don't think that's really a "puppy" formula, and if she's a puppy, it's probably a good idea to feed her some kind of puppy formula food, right? And secondly, she has a MAJOR poop-eating problem. In doing some research I guess this could be due to many reasons, including that she's not getting the right nutrients/protein, etc. In your experience, guys, does this seem right? If I switch her food to a more nutritious kind, maybe this problem will alleviate a little bit, which brings me to my next question: What do you guys recommend? All of your help is SO appreciated, I'm trying to hard to be a good mommy. LOL

| I forgot to add that when we first got her, she was on Royal Canin, and didn't seem to eat her poop. Interesting. Since I switched to the Eukanuba, I've noticed it....maybe there's a connection there.

| I recently switched Jakes food to a refrigerated one called "Homestyle Select" (puppy formula). I liked the idea that it's fresh, and Jake absolutely LOVES it! Here's the link if you would like to check it out. http://www.homestyleselect.com/ And, yes, the food you are feeding is for small breeds but isn't a puppy formula. It's a good idea for all puppies to be on a puppy formula because it contains extra nutrients that growing pups need. |

| I've been feeding Paddington Science Diet Small Bites for puppies, because that is what the breeder told me he's been eating, but after doing a bit of research I think I'm going to be switching to Innova. Ideally I'd like to home cook all of his food, so that I know what's in it, but I hardly have time to cook my own dinner some nights! I have a whole bag of science diet now, and he only eats about 1/4 cup a day. Is this an okay dog food to finish out the bag? It has beet pulp in it which I read is bad for the liver, and aren't yorkies prone to liver problems? I don't have tons of money, but if it is bad for him then I wouldn't mind throwing this bag out after he gets used to the new food. I'd rather have a healthy puppy than an extra ten bucks. -O |

| I give Stella Nutri-Stat daily also, her breeder recommended it highly. I feed her Canidae kibble with a little Canidae canned or Merricks Puppy Plate mixed in. |

| Hannah used to eat poop all the time, she would try to eat it all up when she seen us coming. She doesn't eat her poop as much anymore, if I don't see her poop and it lays there awhile she will take a nibble but thats all. She will eat deer and rabbit poop too. She has been in wellness or canidae all stages since I got her. She has been on canidae for the past few months. She has been on the missing link since I got her too. I have tried Forbid and it worked pretty good, but when I wuit she went back to it. I think she just likes poop. I don't think it is a nutritional deficency with Hannah. I have heard that they grow out of it and it does seem to be getting better. My maltese puppy Bentley doesn't eat poop and i am so glad, I don;t think I could handle 2 poop eaters. Good luck....
