| Flossies vs. Bully Sticks Is there a difference? I once gave my puppy a flossie and the next day she was vomitting and her tummy was making noises so loud that they scared her. I hear so much about how good these bully stix are but they look just like a straight flossie and i don't want to go through that again. It was over $200 at the vet that time. Also I've heard that the bully sticks are bull penises but i recently say something called a bully stick that said it was Beef Tendon. Is that the same thing? Sorry about the long one, just confused a bit. I'm looking for something that'll keep my baby busy for a bit. Thanks in advance!! |

| I've never tried them as Penny had a problem with a piggy rope which is twisted & flavored rawhide. I know many people's Yorkies love them so maybe I'll try them sometime. I guess I didn't realize the flossies were 100% bully stick. I was afraid they might have some rawhide in them. |

| Was it by Merricks? A lot of them are spiral, I think most bully sticks/flossies in general, if they are of good quality free range fed buffalo say that they are " tendon", I know that is somewhere on the lower regions of a buffalo I think it comes off the tendons by the bulls penis and isn't "technically" a bulls penis but I could be wrong |

| Yeah the tendon one was Merrick's brand. I'm not too grossed out by that fact, i'm just scared of my baby getting sick again. I'm torn. Everyone else on here seems to rave about them. *sigh* |

| You could try paddy wacks - they are beef ligaments/tendons they state they are "back straps" not sure what part of the cow it comes from but they are not exclusive to bulls, so it would not be the penis. Here is a site: http://www.jefferspet.com/ssc/produc...&pf_id=0027997

| Oh I forgot to say that these are Millie's favorite treat. She gets one everyday at 8pm as her night time treat. And believe me, she knows exactly when 8pm rolls around. She really looks forward to them. They can be eaten in one sitting so they are not like the bully sticks which takes a long time to get thru.
