| Royal Canin and Loose Stool My 8 mo. old puppy Emma has been having loose stools off and on for a few months now. She has been to the vet and her fecal tests were normal, the vet seems to think it is just an upset stomach. I have been feeding her white rice during these "episodes", but the second I start reintroducing her Royal Canin food the loose stools reappear. I know that this has been discussed on here before but I can't find those threads. Does anyone have any suggestions on another brand of food for her?? Everything else is normal, she still has a great appetite, drinks plenty of water, uses the restroom at her normal times, no change in attitude. Thanks for the help!!

| When you take her off of dog food and put her on real food it clears up, right? They why go back to dog food. Real food is healthier and safer. |

| I used to have Sadie on RC and she would get loose (and then very bloody) stools. I have nothing against the food, it just didn't sit well with her. Her fecals always came back normal. It kept happening, though, so I took her to an internal medicine specialist & she put us on a prescription food. I'm not saying it's the same thing, but maybe your vet could recommend a different food to you (maybe a prescription one)

| You might want to try Chicken Soup for the puppy lovers soul(dry food). It's tiny bites and is better nutritionally than Royal Canin(I believe).
