| A Tooth Question I am attaching a couple of picture of Jack's teeth. Can anyone tell me if the curved tooth in the rear, is a puppy tooth that will come out, or a permanent tooth. It just looks strange to me pointing backwards. I thought Jack had lost all of the puppy ones, but maybe I was mistaken.

| That looks like his baby canine tooth. If it doesn't fall out (the canines are usually the ones in there the deepest and sometimes don't come out on their own) the vet will have to take it out. This is usually done when they are fixed since they have to put them under. Has he been fixed yet? |

| Thank you Quote:
I really appreciate this advise on the teeth, it has saved me a 50 mile round trip and a office visit fee. Not that I am tight or anything, but don't you hate it when you go to a doctor or vet and whatever you think is wrong is nothing. Seeing that I seem to be one of the "more senior" members of this site I can say in my eras words "YT is groovy".

| I would get him neutered ASAP as it could eventually throw his bite off with both teeth taking up that space. |

| Sorry if it's a dumb question, but what does a dog being neutered have to do anything with his teeth? Brenda & Pookie |

YT Addict | Gidget had hers pulled yesterday. Hers looked just like that, so when she got spayed, he pulled her tooth also. My little peewee had to have all his baby teeth pulled, I had to wait till he was an adult, cause he is only two lbs. He is doing fine now, but before the breath was horrible! Pee wee isn't fixed, he has already been a daddy of three beauties. |

Any baby teeth that haven't fallen out are usually removed when a puppy is neutered. This elminates the need for a dog to have anestetics twice (once for the neuter and again to remove baby teeth). | |
