| How much to eat? Ok, from reading other post, I have gathered that yorkies are picky eaters...Scooter is no exception! He only eats about 10 pieces of dog food at a time and most of the time he will only eat it if I put it on the floor and allow him to "pounce" on it. I'm just worried that he may not be eating enough. He's 10 wks and almost 2 pounds, but EXTREMELY active. Just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this! Thanks so much!

| what kind of food are you feeding him? Try adding a supplement to his food, that might help to change his appetite. It might be the food that he is on right now. Eventually at one point he will get hungry so he will eat the food that's on his bowl. I know what you mean about being picky. It seems like every yorkie has their own personality. |

| He is on Iam's Puppy, right now. That's what the breeder was feeding him. Although I am not sure that I want to keep him on it, just haven't figured out what to switch him to.

| Gracie was like that at 10 weeks. Kibble hockey is a lot more fun than sitting down to a meal isn't it? Iams is probably not the best choice. Gracie loves the Nutro Ultra puppy food (dry) and the Royal Canin Tiny Puppy dry. Are you giving your baby any canned food? My vet recommended canned food while they are still a puppy. Stir some kibble into the canned and see if he will eat that. Canidae, Merrick's, Pro Plan puppy and Ultra puppy canned are all good choices.

| I know what your going through. I'm having the same problem with Max. I know Royal Canine puppy 33 has corn in it, but I'm going out today & get some. So far alot of people in here are feeding it to their little ones, & they love it. He has tried 3 different kinds & snubs his nose at all of them. He did eat some scrambled egg this morning. Good luck.

| Thanks! The breeder said to wet the food, but Scooter wouldn't eat it at all that way, so dry it is. Where can I get Nutro Ultra? Canned sounds like a good idea as well, although my luck he'll just eat the canned and leave the dry, but at least I'll know that he is eating.

| I will mixed the food with a spoon of Merrick can food or ceasar (bad but dogs like it). Gradually decrese them and by 7 month try to feed her dry only. |

| I have never had a problem with Banjo eating. He thinks about food every waking moment. Hes 5 months and is on 1 cup a day, Lamb and Rice. I change food all the time so he gets used to other things. Stops him being a picky eater. I also give him carrotts to chew on. Hes going to be a bigger Yorkie for sure. He LOVES going outside in the yard and can walk me into the ground. |
