Old doggie need's soft food Can you guy's recommend a high quality soft food,,,not neccesarily caned though. It looks like Quincy might have some bad teeth. I need to take him to the vet to make sure. I thought he was just being a picky eater, but now I think he was just picking out the soft stuff because of his teeth. I recently switched him to Nutro. How won't touch it. I ordered some Life's Abundance,,,but I think I'll get the same result's. Here's my other thread with a pic. Thank's, Cal. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=63441

| Mine all eat Life's Abundance including the cat. At the beginning, I would boil some chicken bones without salt and make broth to add to my pup's food. He LOVED it. A week after, he was eating it dry. Also, you may want to mix the kibble with some cottage cheese and it will soften up. Good luck!

Thank's to all for the tip's. Unfortunatly,,,,I've done them all. He still won't touch the Nutro wet or dry. He just eat's the cottage cheese out of it. Hopefully when the Life's Abundance show's up he will like it.

have you tried just leaving the food there and not give him anything else until he's eaten his proper meal? sometimes my two boys go on a "hunger strike". they want something else other than the kibbles i'm feeding them. i just won't give them anything else until they've finished everything in their bowl first. sometimes it'll take them all day before they go back to their kibbles. they're kinda like kids with broccoli on their plates.

Have you tried mixing in a little warm milk and letting the kibble soften up? Chanel has to eat hers like this otherwise she just eats the cottage cheese off the top

Well good new's. The Life's Abundace showed up,,,,,and he like's it. Unfortunattly I'm out on the road and not there to see how he's really doing. My mom said she put about 6 peice's in his bowl and he eat them all. Then he came running into her and did his little dance that he does telling her he want's food. She gave him a little more and he eat all of it too. I hope he really like's it and is not just eating it because he's starving. I guess I'll go ahead and order a small bag and hope for the best. He just must know that the Nutro was cheap, and he only want's the good stuff. As long as he eat's it,,,,that's ok by me.

I haven't seen the new food. Is it any softer than the Nutro. If not, that tell's me he is just a picky eater, and he may or may not have bad teeth. I'm still taking him to the vet, but I'm just wondering if the LA is any softer. My mom said it look's like chocolate chip's. I hope she gave him the right stuff. Hey,,,someone take a pic for me,,,,,lol. God this is killing me being out on the road for a week at a time. His food and petzlife both showed up today a hour after I left. I can't wait to get back home.
