How do I tell if Louie has a food allergy???? Louie has been scratching his face (right below his mouth on one spot) pretty offten (but when I look I can't see that there is any skin issue) and he's rubbing his face on the carpet...but that seems to be the only place that itches...I am wondering if this could be a food allergy...he is eatting Bill Jacks supreme dog food which has corn in it....any thoughts?!?!

Look carefully to make sure he isn't swollen or that he hasn't created a mat by scratching. When Jo acted that way he had been bitten by a fire ant but we didn't know it until we could see the swelling. Licking the feet is connected with food allergies.

A lot of yorkies are allergic to corn. I guess you can get the vet to test him, or a cheaper way would probably to just be to change his food to something that doesn't have corn, like Chicken Soup or Merricks. Then, if he still itches after that, then maybe consider asking the vet about it.
