| TeeJay just ate a pencil! Will this cause any harm? What should I do? |

| I'd call and ask the vet. Although I don't believe that lead pencils are made of lead anymore, due to the threat of Lead Poisoning. |

| None of the pencils are made of lead anymore. I'm almost positive of it. But you might want to call the vet about splinters. Good luck and let us know how he is

| ok I just called the pet emergency place and the lady told me that there is no serious threat except that TeeJay may have ingested a large piece that may obstruct his intestinal tract so I have to keep a close eye on him for 48 hours and if I notice any diarrhea, vomiting, etc then I'd have to take him to the Pet Emergency ASAP. I nearly had a heart attack! When I came out of the shower, I noticed that there were shreds of wood all over the floor and then I see him perched on the couch with a half eaten pencil hanging from his mouth! I'm just glad that any type of poisoning is out of the question. Now my only concern is that he didnt swallow any big pieces! |

| Tucker has eaten enough pencils to build a school! He is a bugger for finding them and he screds them to pieces. I'm sure your baby will be ok.
