| Transitioning from 3 meals a day to 2 Fabian gobbles up everything we put in front of him, so we've never been able to free feed him. He's really food-driven, so we also use chicken for training at intermittent intervals. I've had to drive home every day at lunchtime to feed him, which I'm happy to do but which really won't be feasible to do each and every day once the snow starts to fly. He's just 8 months this week and a little over 5 pounds. At what age can I start transitioning him from 3 smaller meals to 2 larger meals a day? (Same daily total of food.) Right now, he makes it from dinnertime to breakfast the next AM with only a little chicken for training reward. |

| He would be 100% fine now without a mid-day meal.

| Now would be a good time to go to 2 meals a day. If it doesn't work for him, you can keep the 2 smaller meals and use the remainder of his daily allowance for more training treats for the hours your are home.
