My Yorkie pup's hair isn't growing Hi, I have a 6-month old pup and it appears that his hair hasn't grown since the day we adopted him 2 months ago. Does anyone have any feedback to the reason as to why his hair won't grow? I've attached a few recent photos of Sherlock. Thanks in advance for your input!

The rescue that I got him from told me he is 95% Yorkie and 5% Norfolk Terrier. Perhaps he inherited more of the Norfolk's coat? I love him to pieces nonetheless.

I'm sure it's because he's not 100% Yorkie. He must have inherited a short hair gene from his Norfolk ancestors.

Agreed. Although, we won't know his adult coat until 1-3 years. He's only 6 months old, so he'll probably go through a few hair growth stages.
