| Very interesting! Wonder if we could find something more complete about the "company" that did the research. Interesting findings.

| I stopped buying blue buffalo because of the bad press and recalls. I switched to science diet. I will go with orijen the next go round. that seems to always be a top pick. |

Realistically though, it's the food that your dog does best on that matters. | |

| It's interesting that so many don't trust Dog Food Advisor bc he's a human dentist but a lot of what I learned from him was the same info here. Avoid the generic label "meat" or "meat by products" or any by products in fact, and stick with specifics like chicken, beef, etc. Avoid foods that have non chicken, beef, etc as first ingredient, or corn, soy, etc. Interesting to see our brand Holistic Select was on the removed list due to customer complaints of gas and loose stools. Their duck formula is one of few I've found that is low fat for Uni and that she likes, and both her and toto have nice firm and small stools on it.

| I also see any brands associated with Diamond was cut, including Holistic select. They aren't owned by Diamond anymore but we have been feeding HS since before the recall (2012) and never heard anything about it! Eek!

| I like the way dog food advisor has it laid out in "english" and to the point. There is a lot that can be learned there in a VERY short amount of time. He's a dentist under constant scrutiny! He certainly made it easier for me to read dog food labels/ingredients. We do the same for ourselves, read labels, so why is he a villain to so many for basically helping us understand what we are reading in a dog food label? I can think of better things to distrust and or hate! LMAO Taxes, cancer, gas or food prices.... they really suck! LOL |

| Woohoo!! 2 of the foods Kaji ate for most of his life are on the list. I knew NOTHING when I started out with him. My then roommate suggested Lotus because it is locally made, baked, not sprayed with fat, and made with real ingredients. I read the label and used the same ideas I used for my own food, which made me feel good about buying Lotus. If only he would eat that without hesitation like he does Stella and Chewy's. S&C's is kinda pricey.
