YT 500 Club Member | congested So I have never had a yorkie before so I was wondering if any ones yorkie ever sounds congested. Some days Sammie sounds congested. It is comming from his nose. My shih tzu had that but had that smooshy face. |

| Yes, allergies are making everyone congested. If it continues or you hear any honking, you should have a vet visit. My dog was coughing, we thought it was allergies and his trachea and it ended up to be pneumonia!

YT 500 Club Member | I think it is allergies because his eyes are always running now that its spring and he keeps scratching his face on the floor. I am going to start Claritin and see if that helps. My vet said 1/2 of 10mg once a day. I wonder if it is safe to give him it all spring |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Could be allergies, for sure. Is his nose running...ie is liquid coming out? Bc in that case, at times, it can sometimes mean an oral-nasal fistula when also accompanied by congestion and/or odd/weird breathing issues. Just an fyi .
