| Apoquel 2015 I've noticed the Apoquel threads haven't been active for about a year & I have a few questions. Teena took her first 1/4 pill a few days ago & she almost immediately stopped licking her feet-wow! She no longer wears socks all day or PJs to bed & hasn't needed ointments on her feet, tummy or underarms since then. WOW!! My questions: 1)For those of you who've been using it for awhile what dose is your dog on now? Anyone using less than 1/4 pill a day? (Teena is 3.5 lbs.) 2)I was charged $37 for 14 3.6mg pills. What do you pay? Has anyone ordered it online? I'd love to hear everyone's experiences with this new "miracle" (for us) drug. Thank you!!!

| Apoquel works within 4 hours. I haven't used it for my dog as it is contraindicated for dogs with liver disease according to my vet dermatologist. But it sounds great!!

| My vet FIANALLY got Apoquel. Allie has been on this the 1st of March, and I have to say this is such a miracle drug for her. Her mg dosage is 5.4mg. When we first started it was a 1/2 pill twice a day for two weeks and we are now only taking 1/2 pill every day. I just had Allie's refilled yesterday, I got two months worth and I paid $62.00.

| My moms dog is on it and it has worked wonders for her! Not sure of the dose but I know it was expensive. But worth it!

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | My vet doesn't yet have it, but should have it soon...so I have no clue what they'll be charging. The roll out for this med has been utterly ridic! I'm just SUPER happy for you that it has worked so well -- isn't it just great to see!!??

Well, I guess I shouldn't be worried about the price he's charging me when at least I was able to get some. Teena's allergies are really bad about 4 months of the year, then sometimes she can go a month or two without problems. It looks like with Apoquel during her good seasons I'd be able to give it to her just when she has flare-ups. Wouldn't that be great?

| It's great to see some success stories on this. My Lola itches to the point of bleeding and we have struggled with it for almost 8 years! Tried so many meds, but nothing seems to help. We are on our vet's waiting list and should have it early May. I'm so ready to try it! It'll be worth every penny if it helps her get some relief!

| I'm so sorry! I've been vet-hopping for years & finally was told by a vet from a different city about "one of the best diagnosticians" he knew. First visit & he had the drug for us!

| Update: After the first 2 super successful weeks on Apoquel (1/4 pill twice a day) we had to reduce to once a day. Signs of allergy returned but not so bad & we were told it'd take a week or 2 for Teena to settle down & adjust to the smaller dose. I've had to add Benadryl in the evening & she's doing pretty well now. Problem is I have 2 days left & the vet isn't expecting more for a few weeks-yikes!!! Is there anyone out there who has extras laying around & I'd be happy to buy them from you?? TY!

| Lola got her pills Tuesday. It is definitely a miracle drug! I can't believe that it worked so quick, within hours! She has not scratched at all since starting! We got a month supply for $60! She is 9 pounds so she takes 1/2 of a 5.4 mg pill twice a day for two weeks then goes down to once daily. Hope it continues to work. I'll pay or do anything to keep her healthy!

YAY!!! My vet gave me the bigger 5.4 pills yesterday but has me cutting them into sixths-not easy! Teena's 3.5 lbs. & did great the first 2 weeks on 2 doses a day. Once we cut the dose to 1 a day her symptoms came back; I'd been told to give it a week but that didn't help. Now we're trying every 16 hours which ends up being early morning & late night one day, then mid-afternoon the next. Hope that dose works. Please keep us updated on Lola's progress.

| Wow, so cool to hear about something that can make such an impact! Luckily ,so far here in Florida, we haven't had too much itching and scratching, but awesome to know that there is relief if it happens. |
