| Geneflora Probiotic Princess was on antibiotics recently & has bad yeast problems again. Her ears are filling up w/brown stinky gunk & she's been scratching it...bleeding too. I've been cleaning every other day & the brown gunk is back every time. She also has brown splotchy marks on her lower underbelly. Brief history: She's been to the vet several x's for this & has had numerous skin scrapings w/cytology. Been on RX shampoos, wipes, meds & nothing really helped. She's also on a no 'sugary' food diet since it's food for the yeast. She's been doing great so far & the antibiotics triggered it again. The dog boutique where I get their food had something called YeastBuster & the lady said it was excellent for yeast. I contacted the company (here in CA) bc it doesn't say how much to give to a 5# dog & Neil responded right away. He sent me a jar of Geneflora & all sorts of info to read, about yeast & probiotics. Customer service is above & beyond! He said not to use the YeastBuster (yet) but the Geneflora for 6 months to help put back the good bacteria into her gut. Really hope this will help Princess w/her yeast problems. Will report back in a few weeks & see how it goes. | I've been reading the reviews on amazon & the Geneflora also works great for tear stains! I'm very excited bc Momo has had very bad tear staining from red yeast & the Gerber Baby water hasn't helped much for him. Today is day 2, so nothing to report (loll) but I am very hopeful. I'm just glad they're eating their food well w/it sprinkled on top.
