Donating YT 30K Club Member | Any one feeding Organix by Castor & Pollux I am trying to switch my girls from California Natural canned and kibble as it contains Caarrgeenan. I picked up a can of the Organix to try but was wondering if anyone had any feedback on it. I hate switching foods as mine have a lot of tummy issues. Thanks

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Merrick took over the company back in April. When I was feeding Regular dog food I always stayed clear of Merrick. They have always had some QC issues. Now I homecook and the longer I am doing it the more I like it. Not only is it helping Taycie tremendously with her MVD but I can control the quality of ingredients. She basically eats better then me now! LOL! Merrick Pet Care, Inc. Acquires Castor & Pollux Natural PetWorks | www.castorpolluxpet.com

| I used to feed Castor & Pollux but decided to stop after I got a bag of food that was not correct and they argued with me. It was another of their foods in the wrong bag. I knew it because I had been feeding it for a while and also had used the other one. Then, I started to wonder about them. I sent them an email asking for information about just who their "team of experts" were (I believe the wording was on the site about their nutritionists). They ignored my question totally. Then, after that, I saw that Merrick had bought them out. After all of the recalls that Merrick has had I would never use any of their products.

| I bought about 7 or 8 cans this past week. I feed them Royal Cannine (dry) and was going to give this a try with the canned foods having the carrageenan in them. They will pick at it but they really don't like it. Soooo, its back to the drawing board. I thought I read somewhere that Innovia doesn't have carrageenan in it. (canned) This has been something else trying to find something they will eat. I mix alittle canned always in their dry and they like it like that. Its sorry that there are no really good safe foods we can trust. The more I go the least I trust any of it. I may have to start home cooking for them. |
