Default Finally...I got to order Canine Caviar!

I've had a hard time finding the Canine Caviar dog food...did the store locator on their website and every store I called said they couldn't order it anymore. The one who said she could failed to come through...after talking with her before Christmas she said it wouldn't be there until the first week of January...first she was sick and missed her shipment, the next week everything else she ordered came in but my CC wasn't on the truck...one excuse after another...so I told her thanks but let's just forget it.

I started looking online and came across chewy.com so I just ordered from there and this Tuesday I should recieve via Fed Ex...a 12 pound bag of the Wilderness grain free blend and a case of the Venison canned food.

I checked the price of the food they currently eat and compared it to what I pay now and chewy.com is about $6.00 a case cheaper and shipping would be free.

Hmmm...no more driving the 70 mile trip in all kinds of weather for dog food and it's cheaper...well, gee...that's a no brainer!

So, if this goes well I will be ordering online from now on...whether the CC works or I go back to what they eat now...either way it will be easier and I won't have to worry about not being able to go get their food in bad weather.

I've been so excited to try the CC...I can hardly wait for Tuesday...I hope it works for Moo like it has for others here on YT.

Buster has been eating CC for 4 days now and I have noticed he is less itchy and not chewing on himself as much.

Glad to hear that!! I’m telling you guys that food is like magic! Peanut is doing so good, and he was in bad shape!! He also LOVES the food- he has never enjoyed eating dry food as much as he does this food- DH told me the other morning Peanut woke up when he did to get ready for work and wanted to eat!!

Ok, first time I saw this post...and was so excited to be reading this. Lexi is very very finicky to say the least...she turned 4 in November and has always been on Royal Canin well when and if she eats it...mostly have to cook chicken for her and then that is a chore to get her to eat too she must be eating some as she is about 4 1/2 lbs...lol
I would love to try this food though as Lexi has allergies to and is always licking her feet...so could you please let me know what to order? I am going to give this a try

Just looked at the website chewy.com and found the food may I ask what flavor you bought? Definitely want to try this for Lexi but don't know what one to buy...don't so much mind the cost especially if it does help her and she actually eats it...lol

Hi Cheryl...I bought the grain free wilderness blend...no grains, no potatoes and no flax or tapioca...it's supposed to be great for allergies. I would also think it would be good for a dog with yeast issues as there are no potatoes in this one. I also bought a case of their venison canned variety because they eat both wet and dry food. I got an email from chewy's to let me know my order has shipped and I'm excited for it to get here on Tuesday!

I started Riley on the Wild Ocean for the first 3-months. Then he ate a 1lb bag of the Wilderness... and now he has been eating the Open Sky for the past 3-months. He really Likes them all.
At one point, I was giving him Wild Ocean for a few days and then the Open Sky for a few days.

I honestly believe you can't go wrong with any of them.

lovespandp has been feeding the Open Sky and her boy, Peanut just Loves it!!

I have also tried the Canned Beaver and the Canned Duck... mixed a teeny bit of it into Riley's Kibble. Of course, he want Nuts for it. The cans are pretty big so I would just divide it into about 4 snack baggies and freezed what I wasn't using. I just wanted to put a teeny tiny bit in his kibble for a little treat.

The Wild Ocean is Fish....
The Open Sky is Duck....
The Wilderness is Venison....

Just depends on what you think your furbaby might like best. I started Riley with the Fish.

Thanks so much I like your idea too of the snack baggies freezing the can food I would not of thought of that and have thrown many away by the time she would eat them...mostly as after a few times she just didn't want that anymore .... does the dog food have a strong smell? And is the kibble small? Lexi seems to do better with the food that is small and more flat then small and round?
