| Low Cost Dental/ NYC area? Hi, So I adopted my Yorkie, last year. He was pretty neglected, and I've been working really hard to reverse whats happened to him, and now he's doing pretty well. He's happy and healthy, save for his teeth. I just came back from my Vet and she said his teeth are pretty bad still and he's going to need extensive dental work. She gave me an estimate of $1200-$1750. I almost had a heart attack, as much as I want BamBam to be well, I just I just dont have that money right now. It breaks my heart. I've done some research and it seems that the Human Society does have a dental clinic. Does anyone have experience with them? Can anyone make any other suggestions about where I can go? I'm at a loss. Thank you. |

| Have you looked into Care Credit? I suppose it depends on each individual Humane Society. this kind of dentistry is drawn out, takes skill that nt all vets have, requires dental xray (which most facilities don't have), etc.

| I don't know much about this but I would make sure to get blood work before anything where they need anesthesia like a dental.
