| Hope this works for Tucker. I can certainly sympathize with you. Jem my 11 year old Yorkie has always had tummy issues. when he was 6 he was hospitalized for 5 days due to pancreatitis or Hemoragic Gastroenteritis, they were not exactly sure which. He came home from the hospital on Royal Canin L/F prescription which never really helped him completely because he still always had some tummy issues every couple of months. He always had bloody diarhea and very bad gas and tummy rumbles. I also used to give him pepcid when he got like this. I felt so bad for him, some days he would hide in the corner with bad pain. I even used to cook chicken and rice for him everyday and that didn't even help him anymore! One day my vet said let's try hills science prescription W/D which is loaded with fiber. I thought she was crazy because I thought the last thing he needed was fiber! well let me tell you, it was the best decision we ever made for him. He improved dramatically and hasn't had any more issues. His stool is nice and firm and he even went from 7 pounds to 8.5. I only wish we put him on it sooner. I know it isn't the best dog food, but it has worked wonders for him and he is doing great. I believe it actually saved his life! Good luck to Tucker, hope he feels better soon! |
